Angkrish Raghuvanshi is one such talent that had kept the heads turned for a long time - a serious successor for the Indian Cricket Team in future. He is a keeper who fills a lot of loopholes and adds depth to the team, he is now a known and reliable name for KKR and of course cricket fans
Let us give you a walk through on who Angkrish is -
Angkrish Raghuvanshi (born June 5, 2005) is a young Indian right-handed batter who gained prominence as the top scorer in India’s 2022 U-19 World Cup-winning campaign.
He was born in Delhi but relocated to Mumbai at age 11 for cricket training where he started his training under Abhishek Nayar and Omkar Salvi. His father Avneesh Raghuvanshi is a former tennis player and mother Malika Raghuvanshi was a basketball player.
Of course Nayar scouted him for KKR and he was bought by the team in 2024 mega auction. But it was not that he was not a known anime then.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi made his T20 debut for Mumbai against Haryana in October 2023. He made his List A cricket debut for Mumbai against Sikkim on 20 November 2023. Earlier he already was India’s Highest Scorer in 2022 U19 World Cup.

He debuted for KKR in 2024 and played a great impact in the team winning the trophy after 10 years with the homecoming of Gambhir.
In his first match at the age of 19 he played against Delhi Capitals coming at 3 and scored 54 off 27 balls. Despite stars like Venkatesh Iyer and Shreya Iyer in middle order he made his permanent spot at 3 ending the season with 163 runs at the strike rate of 155.
He was not retained by KKR next season but was bought back by the team with INR 3 Crores in a battle with Chennai Super Kings in the auction room.
He once said:
"When I was a kid, both my mom and dad made me play different sports. My dad made me play tennis with him. My mom made me play basketball with her. And obviously cricket, because I'm from an Indian family," he said. "So I think it has been inculcated into me, the habit of playing sports."
Now playing Under Captain Rahane , Agkrish surely is looking to create bigger impact with his willow and thus also keeping his dreams alive to debut for Team India
