We don’t have seven home games, we have 14- Virat Kohli thanks fans for support throughout IPL 2026 campaign
The legendary batter and former RCB skipper thanked the fans for their unwavering support throughout the season and said that the franchise doesn’t have seven home games but 14 because of how fans show up in every game. He also said that such kind of support is what the franchise has earned over the years and as a team, they would hope to make them proud every year. “I always say we don’t have seven home games. We probably have 14 because everywhere we go, we have fans cheering the team and, you know, really getting behind us,” Kohli said.
“GT is probably the home side, but you see 90 percent of the guys are RCB fans. So that’s what we’ve earned over the years and we just continue to make them proud and try to put our best foot forward. And yeah, their support is priceless and really happy that they can celebrate us lifting the trophy tonight and witness that,” he added.
Notably, Kohli finished fourth in the Orange Cap leaderboard with 675 games in 16 matches with 105* as his highest score. He maintained an average of 56.25 throughout the season and a strike rate of 165.84.
