During the IPL 2026 match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 11 April 2026, Marco Jansen pulled off a sensational one-handed catch that left both Arshdeep Singh and the captain Shreyas Iyer stunned. The bowler was visibly shocked by the effort. After Jansen plucked the ball out of the air at deep midwicket, Arshdeep was seen on his haunches with one hand over his mouth in total disbelief.
As the Punjab Kings captain, Iyer's reaction was one of pure amazement. He had recently won the toss and elected to bowl, and this "blinder" provided the breakthrough his team needed. The catch led to the dismissal of the SRH captain Ishan Kishan who was batting 27 off 17 balls. Kishan struck a delivery from Arshdeep Singh that appeared destined for a six.
Jansen, standing at approximately 6'9", used his height and "long levers" to sprint from deep midwicket and snatch the ball with one hand while it was still in the air.
