On the 2nd day of the test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, there was a terrible fielding moment that the home side would love to forget. It happened in the 14th over of the match when Taskin Ahmed was bowling to Imam. The fielder that was placed in the outfield came sprinting into the field but he fumbled the ball thrice while trying to pick up the ball. It caught the attention of the viewers online as it was beginner level fielding that was showcased in a high stakes international match. It's usually Pakistan who has the reputation for such poor fielding but this time, the Bangladesh side has taken up their role.
The bowling performance of the Pakistan side was quite good as they picked up some important wickets. There were many flourishing partnerships that haunted them but the plans were well executed by the Pakistan bowling unit. Mohammed Abbas picked up a sensational 5-wicket haul to dismantle the batting unit. Shaheen Afridi was able to find some swing and he bowled the right lengths to pick up 3 wickets in his bowling spell. Hassan Ali and Noman Ali was able to pick up a wicket each to give some hope to the Pakistan side.
A disaster class in fielding. 😂 pic.twitter.com/bHW7t3MW3v

Pakistan’s batting depth and Bangladesh’s hunt for a series lead sets up an intense battle
Bangladesh had put on a fine batting performance in the 1st innings as they put on 413 on board. The skipper Shanto scored a fine century and was well complemented by Mominul Haque with a fine half-century. Pakistan had put up a decent opening partnership of 106 runs but it was broken by Mehidy Hassan Miraz. It will be interesting to see if Pakistan will be able to bounce back in this match. They will have to take a decent lead in the innings and they will have to put on a fine batting display.

With some solid batters still to come down the order, Pakistan can still very much come back into the match. The pitch is undoubtedly a tricky one but the aim will be to hold the innings as long as possible. A draw could very well be on the cards but Pakistan will have to bat out of their skin to take the lead in this match. The home side will be looking to bowl out the visitors and take the lead in the series with a solid victory.
