The 2026 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) domestic player draft concluded in May 2026, locked in the core local squads for the upcoming tournament running from 7 August to 20 September 2026. The headline of the 2026 draft was the entry of the new seventh franchise, the Jamaica Kingsmen, and the rebranding of the Barbados Royals back to the Barbados Tridents.
The total squad size for CPL 2026 will be 17 players. The squad composition will be 9 senior West Indies players, 5 overseas players (selected via direct negotiations), and 3 "Breakout" players. Franchises were permitted only one mandatory pre-draft breakout retention. At least one breakout player must feature in the starting XI for every match. As a new franchise, the Jamaica Kingsmen were granted the first three draft picks unchallenged, restricted exclusively to Jamaican players.
