The Chambal Ghariyals recorded a massive 31-run win over the Royal Nimar Eagles in the summit clash and lifted the MP League 2026 trophy. This was the second consecutive final for the Ghariyals, who finished as runners up in the previous season after being defeated by the Bhopal Leopards in the MP Premier League 2025. Talking about the 2026 final, the Ghariyals entered the clash on the back of an 11-run win over the Jabalpur Royal Lions in the second semifinal. On the other hand, the Nimar Eagles were promoted over the Rewa Jaguars following a rain-hit semifinal.

In the final, the Eagles skipper Himanshu Mantri won the toss and invited the rivals to bat first. The Ghariyals, riding on Harsh Dixit’s 18-ball 32, Apurve Dwivedi’s 25-ball 51, skipper Shubham Sharma’s 38-ball 61, and Tripuresh Singh’s 24-ball 43* put up a massive 224-run total with the loss of five wickets. Though the Nimar bowlers tried to break the momentum of the rival batters quite a few times, they weren’t able to restrict them under the 200-run mark and keep the game under their control.

In return, Mantri came up with a crucial 44-run knock, while Abhishekh Malvi added unbeaten 73 runs. However, they clearly failed to guide the side near the victory line and fell short of 31 runs to suffer a heartbreaking loss in the final.

Tripuresh Singh named Player of the Match and Player of the Series in MP Premier League 2026

Tripuresh Singh was named the Player of the Match for hitting 43* runs for the Ghariyals and picking one wicket by conceding 39 runs in the second innings. Throughout the tournament, he scored 210 runs and picked 16 wickets. The 24-year-old’s best performance came during the Ghariyals’ 39-run win over the Bundelkhand Bulls, where he scored 50 runs in 24 deliveries as well as picked 2 wickets while conceding 39 runs.

Coming back to the clash, he was awarded INR 10,000 as a cash reward for his heroics in the summit encounter.
