The Punjab Kings batter Cooper Connolly had posted a picture of the North Beach in Perth on his Instagram story, and the fans were worried if he had travelled back to Australia. The Punjab Kings are currently in the middle of their campaign, and they are preparing for the game against the Delhi Capitals next. The Punjab fans had immediately speculated that the Australian star had flown back home after his recent story. However, the Punjab Kings have not released any official statement on the departure of the player and the player hasn’t revealed anything either. The reason for his departure is still unknown, but as of now, there is nothing to worry about for the Punjab Kings.  

The Punjab Kings have been on a dominant run this season as they haven’t lost a single game so far. They have had plenty of positives in this season as their top order is geared up for any challenge. Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh are proving to be some exciting talents as they are playing proper cricketing shots and are able to navigate through different phases of the game. Shreyas Iyer, the skipper, has been exceptional with his leadership and batting as he hasn’t put a foot wrong in the season so far.

Cooper Connolly had entered the IPL with a back injury and that restricted the management to a decision to play him as a specialist bowler. It is possible that he flew back to Australia for the mandatory fitness test conducted by Cricket Australia. Pat Cummins had done the same as he returned home recently for a check-up. The Punjab Kings may be seeking some additional overs from him as they are facing a 6th bowler crisis. If the Australian international is to bowl his left-arm spin, then he will have to get a clearance from Cricket Australia. However, another possibility is that Cooper Connolly had just posted a throwback post, as there still lies a lack of clarity regarding where the cricketer is.  

The Punjab Kings seem to be confident in their title charge as their core players have regained their form, and now it will be all about carrying the momentum through. In the last match against the Lucknow Super Giants. Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly were just smashing bowlers for fun as they put on a record-breaking partnership. Their bowling was clinical as they did not allow many partnerships to prosper in the LSG batting unit. Rishabh Pant looked the most dangerous of them all, and he was outdone by a yorker from Arshdeep Singh. The IPL is a long season, and it will be very important that they keep their form going, as there is a possibility of teams losing their way, like the Rajasthan Royals.
