CSK Playoff qualification scenario in IPL 2020
CSK started the IPL 2026 season fumbling, but they have peaked at the right time. The current IPL 2026 table is widely open for several teams who can still qualify to enter the Top four. CSK has 10 points now from 10 matches played with 5 wins. They are only two points behind to achieve the 12-point mark that many top teams are clustered at currently. They have to win at least three out of four games or all remaining games to secure 16 points and reach the playoffs.
The game against LSG on May 10th is gonna be crucial for them as it is a must-win to keep their campaign alive. The tougher fixtures with Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans can sway the pointers any which way.
CSK has finally made a comeback and looks stable. Although their batting lineup has not done much, except for Sanju Samson, single handedly carrying the team towards victory. Bowling has also got stronger with Akeal Hossein emerging as a consistent wicket-taker. CSK’s main issue is batting collapse if Sanju Samson fails on a day. With two matches against LSG and strong bowling units, SRH and GT, CSK might have a tough time as a batting unit.
