Delhi Capitals had a disappointing campaign in the 2025 edition. Delhi were top of the points table at the halfway mark of the tournament and did really well in the first seven matches. What followed was something which was a complete turnaround. They failed miserably in the last half of the tournament and could not make it to the playoffs of IPL 2025 despite dominating their first half of the season. Delhi Capitals looked a bit thin towards the latter half of the season especially with their bowling. Let us look at their bowling attack ahead of the upcoming season of the IPL.
Mitchell Starc continues from the previous edition and is set to spearhead the pace bowling attack for the team. During the auctions last year, Delhi Capitals made some big additions to their bowling stocks. Lungi Ngidi was brought by the team and he has been in sensational form in the recent 2026 WT20. Auqib Dar, the highest wicket-taker for Jammu and Kashmir has also been picked up by the Capitals.

Delhi have retained Natarajan, Chameera and Mukesh Kumar from the previous season and added Kyle Jamieson who is likely to be the back-up pacer. Overall they have bolstered their fast bowling stocks and look a very fine bowling unit ahead of the season.
Delhi Capitals Bowling
Pacers - Mitch Starc, Natarajan, Aquib Dar, Mukesh Kumar, Lungi Ngidi, Kyle Jamieson, Chameera
Spinners - Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Vipraj Nigam
When it comes to the spin department, Delhi Capitals are one of the better sides across this competition. They have Axar Patel who is also their captain and he is complemented with Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam. Madhav Tiwari and Tripurana Vijay can also be decent options in case they get a chance to play in the side. Delhi have got good back up players as well so their bowling is looking really strong and can push the team into playoffs if the batters can compliment them. The upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League starts on 28 March.
