The Rajasthan Royals superstars Dhruv Jurel and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi featured in a Red Bull video with an interesting challenge put up for the duo. There was a huge moving wheel on the ground divided into segments containing values of runs such as 1,2,4,6 and out.
The task given to the Royals batters was to defend the ball and place it accurately into the segments to chase down a total of 60 from 30 balls. It turned out to be a very difficult challenge for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi as he is used to muscling the ball no matter where it comes but this time he had to defend the ball, which is unusual to him.
Dhruv Jurel seemed to have gotten into the groove quite early as in the first 5 balls that he faced he was able to score boundaries to get the scoreboard running. On the other hand, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was hitting the ball too hard initially and he wasn’t able to put it into those pockets.
Slowly, he got the knack of it and he started finding the pockets in between which he made a hilarious reference to his wicket against Kyle Jamieson in the match against the Delhi Capitals. With 3 runs required off the last ball, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored a six to win the game for his side.
RR bank on Vaibhav, Jaiswal and Archer in high voltage eliminator clash against SRH
The Rajasthan Royals will be facing a difficult task in the Eliminator 1 as they will be taking on an in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad. The men in orange are coming off a dominant victory against RCB and they will be high on confidence. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals have been doing well but they still would feel like they lack something to achieve the ultimate prize.
In the game against the Mumbai Indians, they were fortunate to get Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger score some important runs towards the death. The key to success for the Royals in this season has been Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and his explosive starts. They will definitely need their top-order to give a fine start and to set the tone for the innings.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel have been doing majority of the work in the batting unit and they will have an even bigger task against SRH. Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger will probably have one of the biggest roles of the match as the opening wickets of the Sunrisers Hyderabad are crucial. SRH’s batting core lies in their top 4 and if the Royals can dismantle their batting unit with a couple of early wickets, they could well and truly be in the game.
