Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya was seen struggling to find rhythm while bowling during the team’s net practice session. The star Indian all-rounder has been leading the side to a disappointing campaign in the IPL 2026 season. After recording a remarkable win in their season opener, the five-time IPL winners haven’t been able to do much, and are with just two points in the season thus far. In their most recent game, the Blue and Gold squad were up against Punjab Kings, where the IPL 2025 finalists handed them a seven-wicket defeat.
Needless to say, the failed performance of MI has landed them in hot waters and at the receiving end of fans’ criticism. Amidst all this, a video of skipper Pandya has gotten viral on social media, where he was seen struggling to find rhythm in his bowling. In the video, Pandya was seen sweating it out in the Mumbai Indians nets’ session, but his delivery got derailed embarrassingly, making him the center of more trolls and hate.

Hardik Pandya reflects on loss to Punjab Kingsmi
Pandya reflected on the disappointing loss of the Indians against the Punjab Kings. He said, “I think we really need to go back on the drawing board and see where are we lacking. Is it individuals? Is it as a group? Is it as planning? We'll just figure it out and see what we can do next.”

Pandya took ownership of the loss and credited the Kings’ players for playing better than them. He added, “They bowled better, they batted better, they fielded better, definitely, and that costed us the game. We really need to see, do we need to make some difficult calls or do we need to keep continuing and hope that we'll turn things around. These are some hard questions which eventually we need to answer and yeah, ownership has to be taken."
Notably, in the upcoming game, the Indians will lock horns with the Gujarat Titans on Monday, April 20 at 7:30 pm IST.
