Netizens expressed their appreciation towards the Gujarat Titans' excellent spell against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their May 12th clash, and labelled it as ‘GT cooked the greatest winning streak’. This is the second time GT seamers have taken 9 wickets against SRH after the same feat back in 2023. SRH just had a collapse, and they couldn’t recover. It started with Travis Head going out for a duck dismissed by Siraj in a wicket maiden opening over. Kagiso Rabada then took the charge quickly, dismissing Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan back to back, leaving SRH at 23/3, a very unlikely scenario for the batting-heavy side. The middle order was torn apart by Jaosn Holder and Prasidh Krishna, leaving GT tumbling down to an all-out at 86 scenario and GT winning their largest victory by margin (82 runs).
Netizens expressed how Jason Holder was so effective for the Gujarat Titans as he scalped 3 important wickets. Some netizens were surprised at the Gujarat Titans' turnaround in IPL 2026, reaching the top of the points table with 16 points. Some netizens were quick to calculate the qualification scenarios for the IPL 2026 teams.
Who's stopping this GT bowling lineup in the playoffs?

5 consecutive wins for GT now. The crazy thing is, they've beaten RCB, PBKS, RR & SRH in the last 4 games who were all in the top 4.🫡

Siraj, Rabada, Prasidh weren't enough so GT got another monster bowler Jason Holder🥶 pic.twitter.com/EuwrtzXrnb

I have been saying that GT is a bigger threat than SRH but no one believes it. Just look at what their bowling lineup has done to RCB, PBKS, RR, SRH. None of these teams were able to score 170 against them in the 2nd half. Their batting lineup is made for such chases.

“They deserve credit for bowling well”, said SRH Captain Pat Cummins after defeat against GT
Gujarat Titans' terrific 82-run win was all credit to their incredible bowling on the tricky wicket. Jason Holder and Kagiso Rabada were the stars of the game with 3 wickets each. Although Gujarat just scored 168 coming to bat first, Pat Cummins and his team had no answer to GT’s spells as they kept tumbling down in the second innings.
In the post-match interview, Pat Cummins appreciated the efforts from the Gujarat bowlers and how well they had utilised the tricky pitch in their favour. He also backed his batsman that such situations keep on arising in T20 games seldom, and he is confident his team will bounce back in the next two games to qualify. The Aussie bowler said that their top four batsmen have 400 runs each, so the team does not doubt their capability.
“I feel they bowled really well. I was pretty happy when we walked off the start, but yeah, pretty tricky wicket. I think they made the most of it, they bowled really well, they deserve credit,” said Pat Cummins.
“ Our batters have been fantastic. This happens in T20 cricket. We will take confidence onto next game,” he added.
With 16 games, Gujarat has already almost qualified for the Top four; their next two games are against Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings.
