Selected Plantations Sites
The plantations are strategically distributed across diverse Indian landscapes to address local environmental needs. Primary plantation sites have been established in the Aravali Range in Rajasthan and Haryana. This is a region critical for preventing desertification and restoring local biodiversity. These sites were chosen due to their ability to support indigenous hardy species that require minimal intervention once established. In addition to the northern ranges, significant plantation blocks are located in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra and the Kaveri river basin in Karnataka. Overall five states in India have seen green dot ball campaign saplings being planted.

Green dot ball initiative
The "Green Dot Ball" concept was introduced to IPL to bring awareness and during the match every dot ball bowled by a bowler contributes to it. There is a list of most dot balls bowled per match at the end of the game. Even the most dot balls bowled by a bowler for the season list is tracked to make it easier for fans to track. During the playoffs, the standard white dot on the television scorecard is replaced by a green tree icon whenever a dot ball is bowled. This is an excellent initiative by the BCCI and they have also maintained an Instagram page which posts videos regularly of the plantations being done.
