
Left arm spinner Harsh Dubey who recently earned the call-up to the Indian side for the Test and ODI series against Afghanistan has sent a message to young players asking them to be true to their craft and give their absolute best in pursuit of success. Speaking to ANI, Harsh Dubey said’’ “My message has always been the same: don’t cheat your craft, whether it’s cricket, studies or anything else. I want you to give 100 per cent and invest all your time into it. That’s the only way you’ll see results," Watch the video here.

Harsh Dubey has had a great rise after the success for Vidarbha in the domestic circuit he was picked up by the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise. His potential was on show and he also got chances with the Indian A side. Recently he received a call-up to the national team for the series against Afghanistan and it will be a huge moment in his career. When asked about World Cup 2027 and the future milestones for him, Harsh Dubey said that he would like to stay in the present and try to put up some good performances.

I just take it one day at a time, focusing on what I can achieve today. I don’t think too far ahead. People have even asked me about the 2027 World Cup, but I told them I don’t want to pressure myself or overthink by looking that far into the future. I want to stay in the present as much as possible and give my 100 per cent," he said.
Prolific domestic record and rise to fame
Harsh Dubey came into spotlight during the 2024/2025 season where he finished as the leading wicket taker picking up 69 wickets in the Ranji Trophy helping his side win the trophy. However, in the 2025/2026 season, Harsh played only three matches and picked up 14 wickets. Dubey was also appointed captain of Vidarbha team in the white ball format and won the Vijay Hazare trophy in his captaincy. Harsh Dubey has had a prolific rise in the domestic circuit and his performances have been excellent. The left arm spinner has picked up 133 wickets in 27 FC matches and also is a handy batter lower down the order having notched up nine fifties.
