Two solid cricketers. Two young cricketers with a lot of charisma and time on their side. And two cricketers, who most importantly, are not just Team India mates but talents who have a regard and respect for one other.
Fiercely competitive and attacking on the 22 yards and respectful and often times, light hearted when away from the competitive cricket pitch.
There’s so much good that Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma have done in the recent cricketing seasons up to this point that their respective fan bases have increased and the general interest where it comes to noting their exploits has increased in recent times.
In a recent Star Sports exclusive cricketing event, the two came together and exchanged a light hearted conversation with Sahiba Bali, the presenter connecting the dots between the two that led to a fun and engaging outcome.
So what was talked about?
During a light-hearted interaction, the presenter asked Shubman Gill whether he had given any advice to Abhishek Sharma ahead of the T20 World Cup.
When presenter asked Shubman if he gave any advice to Abhishek Sharma before T20I WC- SG- no.1 T20I batsman in the world ko kaun advice dega 😭😭 AS- maine hi message kia tha SG ko 3 duck ke baad ke mujhe bat dede, isse pehle koi aur record bann jae 😂 He said ke tu kar lega… pic.twitter.com/5zMiFpMism

Gill replied jokingly, “Who am I to give advice to the No.1 T20I batter in the world?”
The left handed batter then shared a funny moment, saying, “After I got out for three ducks, I messaged Shubman asking him to give me his bat before I end up making another unwanted record!”
He added that Gill simply encouraged him, saying, “You’ll manage it.”
The presenter then asked Abhishek whose bat he thinks is the best. Without hesitation, he replied, “Shubman’s.”
When asked if he ever lets Abhishek use his bat, Gill laughed and said, “He always plays with my bat anyway!”
The exchange showed the great bond between the two young players — full of fun, trust, and zero insecurity. Just pure friendship and strong “Punjabi boys” energy!
