India's star batter Abhishek Sharma has struggled with form in the ongoing T20 World Cup. The star batter hasn't been able to open the account in the tournament thus far, registering three ducks in a row. Abhishek, who has been able to score runs with ease, couldn't open his account against United States of America, Pakistan, and Netherlands as well. Out of the 4 matches that India has played, Abhishek has played 3, missing 1 against Namibia at Arun Jaitely Stadium in New Delhi due to severe stomach.
A lot of experts and former cricketers have thrown some light and their experience into it - asking Abhishek Sharma to wait for a couple of overs or possibly just take the first run before trying to hit the ball out of the park. However, Abhishek Sharma opened up about his approach and how he would like to continue his innings. Abhishek said, "I won't change my process and mindset".

Though this statement might hurt the sentiments of a few former cricketers. However, this shows clarity and the ability that Abhishek Sharma carries. Even when he didn't score a single run in the T20 World Cup, he still backs himself to score big runs when it will matter the most. Hence, ahead of the big clash against the Proteas on 22 February, Abhishek made it clear that he will not change the way he bats.
Further, in the couple of practice sessions that have happened ahead of big clash, it is seen that Sanju Samson has got an extended net session along with Ishan Kishan - which means, that the team management might make a couple of changes in the playing 11 or at least tinker with the positions.
