In a comedy of errors, the Peshawar Zalmi players ended up missing an easy run-out in their clash against Quetta Gladiators. The Zalmi locked horns with the Gladiators in the 23rd league-stage clash of the PSL 2026 on Wednesday, April 16. The game that ended up with the Zalmi recording an eight-wicket win over their counterparts saw a hilarious moment unfolding during the first innings.
In the last over of Quetta innings, Farhan Yousaf had a disastrous error in the field during a free hit by Ali Raza. Notably, Abrar Ahmed hit the ball to the backward point and turned in for a single run. Yousaf, who collected the ball, failed to throw it towards the wickets immediately and instead, ended up running in the field between both the ends in a seemingly brain-fade moment.
While he first started moving towards the striker, Yousaf changed his direction and headed towards the non-striker end. However, he ended up throwing the ball even though he was long away from hitting the stumps. What made the entire incident funnier was that even batters failed to complete the run and turned back mid way.
