
As excitement builds for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, the iconic trophy made a special appearance at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium during the opening match of the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka T20I series. Showcased as part of the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Trophy Tour with DP World, the display heightened the match-day atmosphere and gave fans an exclusive preview of the coveted silverware.
The proceedings of the day got amplified further with a special ticket-sharing occasion. Former Sri Lanka cricketer Russel Arnold presented a match ticket for the Sri Lanka-Ireland opening fixture, scheduled to be held at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, on 8 February, to Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka. On the other hand, former Pakistan cricketer Aamer Sohail presented a match ticket for Pakistan’s opening fixture against the Netherlands, scheduled to be held at the Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground, Colombo, on 7 February, to Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha. This added to the shared excitement ahead of the mega tournament.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is scheduled to take place from 7 February to 8 March 2026 across Narendra Modi Stadium (Ahmedabad), MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chennai), Arun Jaitley Stadium (New Delhi), Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai), Eden Gardens (Kolkata), R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo), Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground (Colombo) and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium (Kandy).

Phase 1 of ticket sales began in December 2025, giving fans worldwide the opportunity to secure entry-level tickets at historic lows—starting from just ₹100 (approximately $1.11) at select venues in India and LKR 1,000 (approximately $3.26) in Sri Lanka.
