A fan asked Surya to shake his hand if he is a fan of Virat Kohli, and Surya instantly came forward to shake the fan's hand. Notably, India will begin their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign on 7 February against the USA. During the captain’s photoshoot ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026, a fan asked Suryakumar Yadav, “Hey Surya! If you're a Virat Kohli fan, come shake my hand.” Surya instantly shakes hands with a fan, showing he is a Virat Kohli fan too.
The video has been going viral on social media since Friday morning. Notably, Virat Kohli has already retired from the T20Is. He won the World Cup in 2024 and bid farewell to the format along with Rohit Sharma.
Suryakumar Yadav will lead the young but one of the most explosive teams in the T20 cricket in this World Cup. The Indian team looks solid in both the departments of batting and bowling. Batting is a real strength of the team, featuring batters like Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rinku Singh, plus they have all-rounders like Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, and Axar Patel. The bowling also looks great with Varun Chakravarthy and Jasprit Bumrah.
