Indore Pink Panthers scored a humongous total of 229 on the MPL 2026 13th match against Malwa Stallions at the Holkar Stadium on Monday.Their batters went all gun blazing as three of their batsman had 50 plus scores completely keeping Malwa bowlers under pressure. Karan Tahilyani scored 50 runs from 39 balls, Captain Venkatesh Iyer continued his stellar form scoring 54 from 22 balls and Saransh Surana remained unbeaten scoring a quickfire 50 in just 17 balls. Opener and wicket keeper batsman Atharv Joshi also scored a 45 from 20 balls. Three bowlers from Stallions had their economy rate above 10 showing the destruction that these batsmen carried forward.
Winning the toss, Indore Pink Panthers opted to bat first eyeing to win their first game of the season posting a huge total. In their previous game against Jabalpur, the batters didn’t click well with only Venkatesh Iyer having the highest run of 33 on board. They eventually lost to Jabalpur by 5 wickets as Ajay Rohera and Ritik Tada went all gun blazing against Panthers with their willow. Who is Saransh Surana?
Saransh Surana is the vice captain of Indore Pink Panthers. Born on 10 November 2005, he is a bowling all-rounder known for his right-arm fast-medium bowling and right-handed batting. Surana initially gained recognition in the league playing for the Rewa Jaguars, where his notable performances earned him multiple accolades, including the Adani Player of the Match award. He got the award for a 3 wicket spell in just 6 runs against Chambal Ghariyals in the 2025 season.
He also stood out during a high-pressure match against the Bhopal Leopards after a top-order collapse, Surana stitched together a fighting 74-run partnership, scoring 43 runs off 34 balls in MPL 2026. He also delivered dominant performances with the ball for the Madhya Pradesh U-19 team, including claiming a 4-wicket haul against Kerala.
