Rajasthan Royals will lock horns with Delhi Capitals in Match 43 of IPL 2026 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. DC has currently faced an embarrassing defeat in a previous match against Royal Challengers Bangalore- a nine-wicket defeat. Delhi Capitals had no reply to RCB’s rip apart bowling. Losing the toss, DC came down to bat and within no time Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood created havoc with their fiery spells, resulting in the lowest IPL powerplay score ever, 13/6. Both these bowlers took 7 wickets today. Only for Abhishek Porel’s 30(33) DC could dodge IPL’s lowest total and an embarrassment, putting up a 75. But that was not enough as RCB easily chased down that total without a scratch on their forehead.
Delhi Capitals strongest Playing XI against Rajasthan Royals
Top Order: KL Rahul, Nitish Rana, Abhishek Porel (wk)
KL Rahul, as an opener has been DC’s one of the most top scorer in this IPL season with 358 runs in 8 innings. He also has the historic highest individual score by an Indian in the history of IPL. Although he couldn’t deliver in the last concluded RCB game. Nitish Rana had a decent season playing at 3, taking on Spinners. Abhishek Porel didn’t get a chance to play this season for IPL until the last game against RCB. Porel was introduced as a sub when Delhi was in grave danger in a mini-collapse. Porel’s calculative 30 runs of 33 balls saved DC from the embarrassment of going all out at the lowest IPL score ever. Hoping Porel gets a chance today, too. He looks in good form.
Middle Order: Sameer Rizvi, Tristan Stubbs, Axar Patel(c), David Miller
Sameer Rizvi had a few spotlight innings in his stint for DC this season, but currently struggling against pace mostly. Stubbs and David Miller had made a few cameo appearances and finished a few games, but again, they have suffered from inconsistency this season. Axar Patel, as an all-rounder option, can fire anytime.
Bowlers: Mitchell Starc, Kuldeep Yadav, Vipraj Nigam, Mukesh Kumar
Mitchell Starc has missed matches for DC in IPL, but according to a report, Starc is making a comeback against RR in the match. He will definitely be leading the pace attack supported by Mukesh Kumar and T Natarajan. Kuldeep Yadav will be leading the spin attack, although he is not having a great season.
Delhi Capitals (DC): Axar Patel (c), KL Rahul (wk), Nitish Rana, Sameer Rizvi, Tristan Stubbs, Abhishek Porel, David Miller, Kyle Jamieson, Kuldeep Yadav, Dushmantha Chameera, T Natarajan
Impact Player: Sahil Parakh
