Runners of the previous edition, Punjab Kings will be determined to go one step further in the upcoming 2026 IPL which will be starting on March 28. Led by Shreyas Iyer, they were one of the most consistent teams in the last edition and unfortunately lost in the Final against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. They have retained most of their players from last season and added a few more good players to strengthen a bit. In this article we take a look at what the Punjab Kings team were up to on March 5 ahead of the big season which is set to begin in a few weeks.

Punjab Kings have started their training sessions at Dharamshala ahead of IPL 2026. They have set up a camp at Dharamshala and are set to be there for at least a week to get acclimatized to those conditions. They will be playing a few of their home games at this venue. Punjab Kings social media posted some terrific pictures of the mountains and the players were captured.

 

Later in the day, Punjab Kings dropped their training kits with the caption ‘’Our Training Kit for 2026 season is here’’. That post has got plenty of attention from the fans and overall, the training kit looks pretty good and there is a good positive response from the fans. They also put up another post asking the fans to rate the training kit for the upcoming season.

Punjab Kings also released an edit for the upcoming semi-final between India and England. It features the past legends and shows a bit about the rivalry between these two sides. Arshdeep Singh is the only player from the current Punjab Kings squads who will be part of the Indian XI.

 

Just ahead of the IPL 2026, Punjab Kings today also posted a teaser with the caption ‘’The power pair is coming back’’ which features both Ricky Ponting and Shreyas Iyer. They are yet to join the squad but with these slight teaser Punjab Kings have all but confirmed that they will be joining the squad soon as the franchise aims to lift their maiden title.
