India were excellent in the Final of the 2026 WT20 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India were put into bat first and posted a massive total of 255/5 in the first innings. It was a spectacular innings from the Men in Blue as the top three batters scored fifties and ensured India got a big total. In the chase, New Zealand lost Finn Allen early but the talking point was the catch Ishan Kishan took to dismiss Rachin Ravindra as Jasprit Bumrah got a wicket in his first over.
Jaspit Bumrah picked up a wicket yet again in the first ball of his spell as he dismissed Rachin Ravindra. But more than the bowler that wicket belonged to the fielder and in this case it’s the dynamic Ishan Kishan who pulled off a stunning catch. Watch the video here.
Rachin Ravindra did not pick up the slower one from Bumrah and tried to whip it through the leg side but he ended up getting a top edge behind square and Ishan Kishan who was at the backward square leg rushed in quickly to take a fantastic catch. He also made sure the ball did not pop out after the elbow hit the ground and it was a stunning catch and a big moment in the game as New Zealand lost a big wicket.
Chasing such a big target, New Zealand have lost their top three batters and are in all sorts of trouble as India look to be clinical. India are looking to win their third T20 World Cup and back to back. It will also be the first one to win a WT20 at home so there is plenty on the line and India are right on top at the moment.
