After rain forced the abandonment of the women's fixture, the men's game proceeded with the Super Giants being put in to bat. Jos Buttler led the way for England, smashing a sensational 90 from just 50 balls, including five sixes and seven fours. Tom Moores hit a blistering 39 off 17 balls and the Super Giants posted a formidable 187 for 5, the second-highest total at the venue in the tournament’s history.
In response, the Birmingham Phoenix batting line-up collapsed dramatically under a relentless bowling onslaught. Captain Donovan Ferreira top-scored with a scratchy 23, but no other batter could stabilize the innings as the team was bundled out for a symbolic 100 runs in 97 balls. Spinner Liam Dawson dismantled the middle order with an exceptional spell of 3 for 15, while Noor Ahmad chipped in with 2 for 16. This dominant victory propelled the undefeated Manchester Super Giants straight to the top of the table.
