The spectacular light and sound show during the IPL clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) in HPCA stadium felt like a ‘once in a lifetime experience’. The show lasted for thirty minutes altogether. A violin duet was played, which was followed by a laser show along with some music playing in the background that the fans were seen to enjoy. The most viral and globally recognised laser and music shows took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where a crowd of nearly 100,000 fans created a massive festival-like atmosphere.
This light show probably costs more than half the PSL 😭#RCBvsGT pic.twitter.com/cbg2EUIbEy

Netizens had some mixed thoughts on this show, as some said this would break the momentum of players, and such halftime shows are not much needed. Some couldn’t stop appreciating the management for putting on such a spectacular sight that came as a relief to the audience and players amidst all the playoff tension.
Players are subjected to fines for slow over-rates, and then we have a half-an-hour “lights show,” delaying the second innings between RCB and GT. Ask the players, if they prefer such distractions during games like these.

Rajat Patidar’s bat gave audience the actual fireworks against GT
Rajat Patidar slammed a 33-ball 93, including 5 fours and 9 sixes, as Royal Challengers Bangalore locked horns with the Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2026. He became the first captain in the history of the league to have the highest score in the playoffs. From 2022 Eliminator 112 not out vs LSG to 2026 Qualifier 1 against Gujarat Titans, Patidar has been a real maestro and captain, leading from the front. He has been a clutch player from the side.
Patidar was scintillating to hit those sixes to a point where even Virat Kohli was surprised and in awe of those shots. He has improved his game against spin and pace both, and that gave him an upper hand to balance RCB’s middle order throughout the season. Rajat Patidar has been in a phenomenal form for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2026, scoring 393 runs in 13 innings at an average of 35.73 and a blistering strike rate of 183.64.
With that, Rajat Patidar might soon see himself debut for the Indian Cricket Team’s T20I side
