The London Spirit franchise has officially unveiled its new kit for The Hundred, heavily integrating the legendary "eggs and bacon" red-and-yellow colours of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). The design represents a highly symbolic union between the modern, fast-paced format of franchise cricket and the deep-rooted heritage of Lord's Cricket Ground. The new London Spirit kit and brand overhaul represents a high-stakes convergence of 230+ years of cricket heritage and Silicon Valley financial muscle. This design rollout is the first major move by the club's new joint ownership to bridge the gap between traditionalist cricket purists and a younger, modern audience.
The nickname, ‘eggs and bacon’ refers to the distinct scarlet and gold colours of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), which have defined the club's identity since at least 1864. Historically, these colours were strictly reserved for the ties, blazers, and hats worn by MCC members in the exclusive Lord's Pavilion. For the new kit, creative agencies VCCP and SomeOne modernised this palette. They integrated the scarlet and gold as a sharp, vertical "thread" down a premium Nike jersey. This marks the first time these sacred colors are being worn by a fully professional T20/100-ball franchise squad. The new minimalist "LS" monogram features a subtle tilt at the base of the letter 'L'. This represents the famous 2.5-metre slope that runs across the Lord's outfield, a unique playing condition known by cricketers worldwide.

Nike and Barclays locked in as first major partners of new commercial era
The double-signing of Nike and Barclays by London Spirit represents the first massive commercial milestone of English cricket's private equity era. Secured in January 2026, these multi-year arrangements showcase how the franchise is successfully leveraging its record-shattering £295 million valuation to draw premium, global brands into The Hundred. Barclays has signed on as London Spirit's first-ever principal partner, securing the highly coveted front-of-shirt placement on all match kits and team merchandise. This deal expands upon Barclays' existing high-profile relationship with the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), where it has served as the principal partner of Lord's Cricket Ground since January 2025.

A core directive of the partnership is "equal opportunity". Barclays has committed to supporting both the men’s and women’s squads completely equally, ensuring identical training resources, financial backing, and marketing exposure. Moving away from the tournament's centralized kit suppliers, London Spirit broke away to lock in Nike as their official technical kit partner. Facilitated through an official partnership with sports distributor KitKing, this marks Nike’s historic first entry into The Hundred. Nike explicitly targeted the partnership because London remains one of its highest-priority global mega-cities. The global athletic giant is using the Spirit's fashionable new look to seamlessly blend high-performance cricket gear with metropolitan streetwear.
