As the 2026 IPL is set to begin later this week, teams have already started their preparations for the main event. One of the few teams that are eyeing for their maiden IPL title is the Lucknow Super Giants. They had a bad season last time around and could not qualify for the playoffs but the Rishabh Pant led side will be keen to have a better season this time around. They have made some slight changes to their squad ahead of the upcoming season and have quite a few X-Factor players in the line up who can change the game.
1.Nicholas Pooran
The West Indies wicket-keeper batter has a formidable record in the shortest format. He is known to be a game changer and has beenzin excellent touch in the last few seasons. He has played 90 IPL matches and scored more than 2200 runs at an excellent season. He was one of the highlights for LSG last season where he scored more than 500 runs in the season. Nicholas Pooran can be a big X-Factor for the Lucknow Super Giants in this upcoming edition.
2.Mitch Marsh
The Australian opener had a very good time last season and formed a really good opening partnership with Markram. Marsh has been doing well for Australia in the international circuit and he was extremely consistent at the top of the order for LSG. He also smashed his maiden IPL century last season and once again in this upcoming season he can be an X-Factor player for the side.

3. Mayank Yadav
Lucknow Super Giants retained Mayank Yadav ahead of this season despite being injured and not playing a huge part of last year. The reason is his high pace and he is a bowler who can change the game on its head. Mayank Yadav will be a key player for the LSG side and if he is fit, he will be one of the key match winners for this Lucknow Super Giants side.
