Lucknow Super Giants entered the IPL Mini Auction with a purse of Rs 22.95 crore. Their first pick in the bidding war was Sri Lanka’s spin-bowling all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga at 2 crore base price. LSG acquired three overseas players and a couple of local Indian talents.
The side bought Australian wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis for INR 8.6 crores after a bidding war with SRH. This was a surprise as Inglis will be only available for 4 matches in IPL 2026. It will be interesting to see if they stick long term with it. They later added Anrich Nortje who is back fit and firing. The South African speedster was sold at 2 Crore. Pant will lead the side and they have a decent mix of good players.
