The Lucknow SuperGiants dropped a video of Rishabh Pant and owner Sanjiv Goenka, putting rest to the ongoing rift rumors between them. Notably, the Goenka-owned team locked horns with the Delhi Capitals in their IPL 2026 season opener on Wednesday, and suffered a six-wicket loss. Following the game, a video of Pant, Goenka, and head coach Justin Langer started making rounds on the internet where all three could be seen engaged in an animated conversation. The video went viral on social media within no time, sparking concerns from fans and experts.

However, the franchise was quick to clear the air. In the latest development, LSG dropped a new video where Pant and Goenka could be sharing a laugh during the same meeting. The franchise added a caption to the video, which read, “Not everything you see is the true story, here’s the unfiltered post match vibes, when cameras don’t cut.”

It goes without saying that the latest video has sent a sigh of relief among fans, who were worried for the star wicketkeeper-batter as well as the team.

It’s time for the LSG to be in trouble: Ravichandran Ashwin on latest Pant-Goenka Controversy

Former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin released a statement about the recent incident involving Pant and Goenka. Ashwin referred to the infamous conversation between former LSG captain KL Rahul and Goenka and said that fans don’t like their stars getting treated like this. For the unversed, a similar kind of incident took place after LSG’s loss to the SRH in IPL 2024. While the widely-circulated video was inaudible, it was pretty evident that the RPSG chairman was frustrated at Rahul following the defeat.

Ashwin, in his statement said, "Last year it was done to KL Rahul, and now it's being done to Rishabh Pant.’” Indian fans don't like this kind of treatment of their star players; if he's removed, then it's time for the LSG to be in trouble,” he added.

Coming back to the recent video, fans and experts don’t seem to be convinced by it and have labelled it as a PR stunt to clear Goenka’s image.
