The Bhopal Leopards won the 2025 Madhya Pradesh League by defeating the Chambal Ghariyals by 2 runs in a thrilling final. Captained by Arshad Khan, they successfully defended a modest target of 156 runs to claim their maiden MPL title at the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Stadium in Gwalior.

The Jabalpur Royal Lions had a flawless, undefeated group-stage run in the inaugural 2024 Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 season. They ultimately became the tournament's first-ever champions by defeating the Bhopal Leopards in a high-scoring final to lift the Scindia Cup. The squad featured key talents such as Rahul Batham, Arpit Gaud, Puneet Datey, Ritik Tada, Nayanraj Mewada, and Mihir Hirwani.

Abhishek Pathak and skipper Arpit Gaud were the standout players for the Jabalpur Lions during the 2024 Madhya Pradesh League (MPL). Pathak was the star of the inaugural tournament, notably taking home the "Man of the Match" in the final after scoring a blistering 142 runs and taking two wickets.

The most impactful players leading the team to the 2024 championship included:

  • Abhishek Pathak: Finished as the tournament's second-highest run-scorer with 269 runs, including a phenomenal strike rate of 210.16.

  • Arpit Gaud: The team's captain, who anchored the middle order and played crucial match-winning knocks, such as a 77-run blitz against the Bhopal Leopards.

  • Puneet Datey: The standout pace bowler who claimed 8 wickets throughout the tournament to anchor the bowling attack.

  • Saransh Jain: The iconic spinner who provided leadership and controlled the middle overs with the ball.

Bhopal Leopards ( 2025 Winner)

The Bhopal Leopards won their first Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) title in 2025, defeating the Chambal Ghariyals in a thrilling last-ball finish in the final. Bhopal Leopards scored 156 and defended it by restricting the Chambal Ghariyals to 154/7, securing the championship by a narrow 2-run margin. After finishing as runners-up in 2024, the Leopards bounced back to clinch the MPL Scindia Cup.

The team was captained by Arshad Khan, with standout performances during the tournament coming from young star Aniket Verma and Tripuresh Singh, who top-scored in the final.

  • Aniket Verma: Known for aggressive right-handed batting and pace bowling, his ability to score at a high strike rate secured vital wins, including a game-turning boundary catch in the championship final.
