Whether it is a total loss of form, a temporary loss of abilities to score or a lack of self belief, or something far more grey or serious – we simply do not happen to know. And here is the bigger problem as Cricket fans, we can simply sit back and level judgement and password while it’s something completely different, far too serious and challenging or complex to be a cricketer and facing such a grave situation. Isn’t it?

But regardless of whether you are a fan, die hard, Australia supporter or a critic who has seen the Best of his batting, it is really confusing, bewildering, perhaps to be seeing downfall of a batsman as good as Marnus Labuschagne. He was someone who a little over half a decade ago fought fire with fire in his maiden assignment as an Australian bat, facing the heat of English bowlers in England and came on top of that acerbic challenge.

He would score hundreds, demonstrate his ability to stay at the wicket for long uperiod of time, combine patience with battling abilities to score heaps of runs. But then what do we see here? Well, here he is- Marnus Labuschagne fail ed to score even an individual knock of 30, despite getting three chances to do so in the recent test series against Bangladesh.

What’s evident is that there is a strange lack of confidence, and that usual customary ability to stay put for long hours of concentration.

And what is further perplexing is that this kind of situation does not help the batter himself and definitely does not help his team which are about to enter perhaps its busiest cricketing season in last 12 to 18 months.

And that’s not all! What’s also hard at the moment is to be Pat Cummins at this point in time. He being the captain has to take the decisive and definitive call whether to take Marnus Labuschagne along with the side in what’s to follow as far as international test match, Cricket Team commitments are concerned.

The usually dogged right hander scored 4 runs and that was all, as far as the recent Second test at MacKay was concerned. Now, there seems to be a clear doubt as to what the South African born cricketer who bats at #3 for Australia can do in order to rescue his fledgling international career that seem to be going nowhere?

But where it all gets a little tricky is that been recently packed himself was asked whether Marnus Labuschagne will be keeping his place for the upcoming South Africa test matches, the tall all-rounder shared that it can’t be guaranteed that the struggling better will keep us place in Austalian side.
