Mohammed Siraj seems to be all riled up with the wicket of Venkatesh Iyer as he has given him a brief verbal send-off “C’mon” after dismissing the leftie in the IPL 2026 Finals. There was a bit of an exchange in the first over itself between Siraj and Venkatesh after the batter defended the ball. The Gujarat Titans pacer is always known for his aggressive approach to the game and with a low total on board, the banter comes as no surprise. Venkatesh Iyer did smack him for a couple of boundaries before giving away his wicket, but Mohammed Siraj had the last laugh in the battle.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru are running away with the game at the moment with some phenomenal power-hitting. Venkatesh Iyer and Virat Kohli have given them a solid start in the run chase and they have the luxury to just rotate the strike at the moment. Two quick wickets have fallen in the form of Venkatesh Iyer and Devdutt Padikkal in successive overs. Nonetheless, there still isn’t much pressure on the RCB batting unit as they have the best batting depth in the tournament with plenty of firepower still to come down the order.

RCB stay firmly in control of run chase in the IPL 2026 Finals
Venkatesh Iyer was brought in as the Impact Substitute today but he was bothered by an injury early on. Mohammed Siraj was given the ball in the first over and he straight away was attacking the stumps. In one of the balls that Siraj bowled with searing pace, the ball was defended solidly by Venkatesh. The banter between the two went on for quite some time and Siraj seemed to be really agitated. After Venkatesh Iyer hit him for a six, Siraj bowled his quickest ball of the day at 146 clicks to get rid of the dangerous left-handed batter. He immediately celebrated with a show of arms and gave Venkatesh a send-off as well.

However, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru won’t be the least bit bothered by Mohammed Siraj’s verbal battle as they are cruising along finely. Rajat Patidar would be looking to play a similar innings to that of he played against SRH in the last game of the league stage. Virat Kohli, the master of the runchase will be looking to seal the chase for RCB against the Titans. The defending champions are under no pressure as such and they will be comfortable in just rotating the strike at the moment. RCB are marching towards their 2nd TATA IPL title and from here on in, it would most definitely be their game to lose.
