Rajasthan Royals are batting first against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Stadium and it has been a sensational start for the Lucknow Super Giants. Shami created the early inroads as he picked up the wickets of Jaiswal and Jurel in consecutive balls to put RR under pressure. Mohsin Khan came into the attack in the fourth over of the innings and he made an impact straightaway. The left arm pacer bowled a maiden to Vaibhav Sooryanshi and also picked up his wicket in the final ball of the over.
This is the first time in the history of IPL that a bowler has managed to keep Vaibhav quiet for an entire over. He became the first bowler to bowl a maiden to Vaibhav and also managed to dismiss him in the final ball of the over. The pressure was built by Shami and RR were 32/3 at the end of the three overs. It was important for Mohsin to back it up and he did much more than that as he bowled a wicket maiden over to put Royals under further trouble.
Mohsin started the over with a good length delivery outside off which was defended. The next few balls were once again closer to the stumps and Vaibhav did not get the room to free his arms. After 4 dot balls in the over, Vaibhav tried to slash one outside off and got beaten on the outside edge. The pressure was clearly on the youngster and in the last ball of the over Sooryavanshi tried to go big over the leg side and lost his shape and ended up toe ending the ball to cover where Rathi took a fine catch to dismiss him.
Vaibhav has been in stunning form this season having scored 254 runs in seven matches and he has been taking on the bowlers straight away. Even in this match he smashed boundaries off his first two balls to Prince Yadav but Mohsin Khan came in and kept him quiet and also managed to dismiss him which has put LSG right on top of this game.
