Former Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni was seen giving autograph to little kid in Mumbai ahead of team’s game against the Mumbai Indians on 23 April 2026.
MS Dhoni, who is yet to play a game in the ongoing season was seen happy and had a long conversation with the kid. The kid brought a bat and a photo frame on which MS Dhoni not only signed but also wrote his name.
After getting the bat signed, the kid offered the photo frame as a return gift to MS Dhoni on which Dhoni said that I will sign on it and you keep both. The kid insisted the legend to keep it on which Dhoni said “What’s your name? Let me sign it and give it back to you.” The kid said “No, it’s for you.” On this, MS Dhoni smiled and said that “spell me your name and I will make it yours”

MS Dhoni didn’t play single game in IPL 2026
Right before the start of the tournament, MS Dhoni got injured sustaining a calf injury, eventually missing first 6 matches in the tournament.
However, he was still seen assisting his teammates wherever it was required. Also, MS Dhoni was finally seen back behind the stumps which is possibly the best sign for the franchise, who have been able to win just 2 matches in the tournament so far. 
The reports have also suggested that this is going to be MS Dhoni’s last season the the IPL; with Sanju Samson taking over as the wicketkeeper batter for the franchise.
