The Indian Premier League has a new sensation- Mukul Choudhary! A 21-year-old lad from a small town of Rajasthan- Sikar, Choudhary wreaked havoc in the 15th game of the season as the Lucknow Super Giants locked horns with the Kolkata Knight Riders. Choudhary came up with a splendid knock of 54* runs in 27 deliveries to guide the side to a three-wicket win, their second consecutive victory of the season.
Choudhary came in to bat on the last ball of the 13th over after Anukul Roy dismissed Abdul Samad at 2 runs off 4 deliveries, while chasing a target of 182. While players on the other end kept changing, Choudhary stood firm and took control of the game in his hands. At one point, the LSG were reduced to 128/7 after 16 overs, but the Rajasthan-native didn’t lose his calm and went all guns blazing against the three-time IPL champions.
