Mumbai Indians came into the auction with a balance of just ₹2.75 crore which was the lowest among all teams, but managed to bolster their squad by picking the experienced wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock at ₹1 crore. Quinton De Kock played three seasons for Mumbai Indians from 2019 to 2021. He scored 529 runs in his first season for the side, 503 in the second, and 297 in the third season and formed a wonderful partnership with Rohit Sharma at the top. The duo will once again pair up in IPL 2026.

Apart from that pick they were focused on picking some base price uncapped stars. They brought Danish Malewar, Mohammed Izhar, Atharva Ankolekar, and Mayank Rawat. All four of them were bought for Rs 30 lakh each. All of them look a good prospect but with already a settled XI these players will be more of a fill in and gain experience before making it to the starting XI in the upcoming seasons. Mumbai overall had one target in mind coming into the auction and they have successfully got it in the form of QDK.
