New Zealand beat India by 50 runs in the fourth T20I match at Vizag. It was a terrific effort from the Black Caps as they lost the toss and were put into bat first by India. New Zealand started really well with both openers Devon Conway and Tim Seifert going all guns blazing. New Zealand scored 71/0 in the power-play as Seifert blazed his way to 46 of just 21 an Conway was on 24. They kept going after powerplay and lost the first wicket on 94 in the ninth over when Conway was dismissed for 44 by Kuldeep.
But Tim Seifert kept going as he completed a 25 ball half century. Rachin Ravindra departed cheaply as Bumrah picked up his first wicket. Glenn Phillips joined Seifert to keep the tempo going. New Zealand were 126/2 at the end of 12 overs with some superb batting. Arshdeep Singh returned to the attack as Tim Seifert slapped a ball straight to Rinku Singh at long-off as he fell for 62 runs of just 32 balls.
Glenn Phillips lost his wicket to Kuldeep Yadav as New Zealand were reduced to 139/4 in 14 overs. Chapman's poor form continued as he was dismissed for just 8 runs. It was a fine flourish in the end by Santner before he was run-out and Daryl Mitchell played the big shots and took them to a great total. New Zealand reached a total of 215 at the half way mark on the back of an excellent cameo from Daryl Mitchell. It was an above par total.
India had a poor start in the chase as they lost their in-form batter Abhishek Sharma for a duck in his first ball. Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav also fell cheaply as India were in early trouble. Samson played a few good shots and he along with Rinku formed a partnership but once again Samson was dismissed after getting a start. It was really tough for India from there on and Hardik Pandya also got out cheaply while Rinku Singh could not get going at a high strike rate.
The match looked all but over but Shivam Dube played a terrific knock as he brought India back in the game. Shivam Dube smashed a 15 ball half century as India came back. But unfortunately Dube got run out on 63 and India were bowled out for 165 as New Zealand won the match by 50 runs and the series is now 3-1 in favour of India.
