The preparations for the IPL 2026 is in full flow and all of the teams have started their camps ahead of the season as they get ready to play in the biggest domestic T20 competition in the world. Sunrisers Hyderabad have also started their preparations and played an intra squad match today which saw both teams post massive scores while batting on a very good surface. SRH A posted 253/9 while SRH B scored 282/9 as batters from both sides in the intra squad match had a terrific day.

But in such a high scoring fixture one SRH player stood out with the ball. It was pace bowling all-rounder Nitish Reddy who was the star with the ball picking up three wickets while giving away only 32 runs in his four over spell. Sunrisers Hyderabad will be pleased with his performance as his bowling well would give a great balance to the side. Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the opening match of the Indian Premier League 2026.

Over the last few years, Sunrisers Hyderabad have been a batting powerhouse. In the last two years, SRH has scored 260 or more runs in an innings five times already and have struck to their high risk high reward approach with the bat. There have also been talks about them aiming for 300 runs with the bat but so far they have not breached that mark.

This intra squad game once again shows the batting power and depth that Sunrisers Hyderabad possess and they will be one of the most dangerous teams when it comes to the batting. Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan were terrific and dynamic with the bat in the intra squad match as both batters smashed half centuries. It is a very exciting time for the Sunrisers Hyderabad fans as Nitish Kumar Reddy bowled really well and his overs will be crucial for them in most of the matches. IIPL is set to begin in a few weeks and SRH are eyeing for the second title having won the first trophy in 2016. They had a disappointing season in IPL 2025 where they finished in the bottom half and failed to qualify for the playoffs.
