On this day, April 12,2023: Ravichandran Ashwin all round show as Rajasthan Royals beat Chennai Super Kings by three runs. Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of the bowlers for CSK as he delivered for the team with 2 wickets.
It was a par score on that surface and in the chase, Chennai Super Kings lost the wicket of Ruturaj Gaikwad early. Ajinkya Rahane along with Devon Conway put up a good partnership to bring CSK back in the game. Conway scored a half century before getting dismissed. The RR spinners picked up wickets as well as contained the scoring rate as CSK were put under pressure.
Ravi Ashwin picked up two wickets and Chennai Super Kings were in all sorts of trouble in the chase. Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni took the game deep and kept Chennai Super Kings alive in the chase but they fell short in the end by just 3 runs as RR picked up the win.
