Prabhsimran Singh has been really impressive this season with his fine knocks in crunch situations. He will be looking to carry his momentum forward in the future games as well.

The Punjab Kings opener Prabhsimran Singh has been in fine form this season and he has brought up his second half-century of the season. The Punjab batters had a decent target to chase but with the bowling of Mumbai Indians, it was a good total. Priyansh Arya couldn’t score this time out as he was dismissed for just 15 runs in the third over. Cooper Connolly was also dismissed shortly after, by Allah Ghazanfar. Shreyas Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh has steadied the ship for the visitors.

With some good batters still to come down the order for the Punjab Kings, they will be confident that they can chase down the total quickly. The Mumbai Indians will need some quick wickets to get back into the game and they will be looking towards Jasprit Bumrah for the breakthrough.

Prabhsimran’s counterattack and steady partnership put PBKS in control as MI struggle for breakthroughs

The Mumbai Indians had put up a total of 196 on board and it was a decent total considering the early wickets that they had lost. Quinton de Kock had smashed a crucial century to bring the home side back into the game. Naman Dhir scored a fighting half-century as well to complement the innings of Quinton de Kock. The Punjab Kings will be hopeful that they can chase down the total with the heavy batting team that they possess. They had to get a good start in the powerplay to have control over the game. However, Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly fell prey to Allah Ghazanfar and the Kings were pushed onto the backfoot.

Prabhsimran Singh was coming off a fine half-century in the previous game and he showed intent from the beginning. There were wickets falling at the other end and it seemed quite challenging to him. Prabhsimran Singh scored a solid half century off 23 balls. Prabhsimran put the Punjab Kings in the driving seat with his sensational knock and they are likely to win the game from here on in.

The Mumbai Indians haven’t been clinical enough with the ball as they haven’t executed their plans well. The Punjab Kings have shown them what it means to be a dominant side with the bat. Jasprit Bumrah hasn’t picked a wicket yet in the season and that could be another factor that reflects their form. Hardik Pandya will have to demand more from his side as with such potential, the Mumbai Indians could get much better results.

The Punjab Kings are marching towards yet another victory in the season and they will remain as the only undefeated team in the season. Shreyas Iyer the skipper will be mighty proud of his batting as he has led the side by example in the field and with the bat.
