Punjab Kings potential breakout star in the upcoming edition of the IPL would be Priyansh Arya. The stylish left-hander announced his arrival to IPL in style during the last edition. He was prolific at the top of the order and earned plenty of praises from the commentators and coaches. Punjab Kings reached the Finals of the IPL 2025 where they ended up as runners up and a large part of those successes were on the back of his contributions to the team at the top of the order.
The left hand batter scored 475 runs in 17 matches for Punjab Kings in the previous edition and provided them with a great start in most of the games. He will be keen to have an even better season as he looks to make a name for himself. Priyansh did not have a great domestic season and will be looking to make amends in the upcoming edition.
Punjab Kings will rely on him to provide them with good starts in the games as they are eyeing for their maiden IPL title under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer. Looking at the way Priyansh played in the last season he will be the one to watch for Punjab in the upcoming season and can be a potential breakout star for them in 2026.
He will also be aiming for higher honors and a good season here can also push his case for the national side. With plenty of series lined up there could be opportunities for the IPL performers at some stage and Priyansh will look at that and try to do well for Punjab Kings. The Indian Premier League is set to start on March 28 and the schedule for the initial games are already released. The entire fixtures are set to be released in the coming weeks. Punjab Kings were consistent throughout the last season but lost to RCB in the Final and they will be keen to go one step further this time around.
