The Punjab Kings have issued an official statement clarifying the fitness of Arshdeep Singh and his availability in the remaining matches. There were concerns around his fitness ahead of the clash against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Dharamshala but he was included in the first XI. Arshdeep Singh wasn’t at his best as he conceded 43 runs in his bowling spell and he picked up a solitary wicket. After his bowling spell, the speculations once again began to rise among the Punjab fans as Arshdeep wasn’t at his usual best.

“Contrary to reports, we would like to confirm that our leading fast bowler and highest wicket-taker, Arshdeep Singh, is fully fit and has been actively training with the squad. The team management is absolutely pleased with his progress, and he is raring to go as we head into a crucial contest of the tournament,” said Punjab Kings in their statement. The signs look promising for Punjab Kings in terms of the fitness for their star pacer Arshdeep Singh.

PBKS back Arshdeep Singh amid injury concerns and off-field controversies ahead of LSG clash

The timing of this injury scare could not have been worse for the Punjab Kings. After starting the IPL 2026 campaign with an impressive, unbeaten run, they seem to have thrown it away. PBKS is currently undergoing a massive dip in their form as they have lost 6 games on the trot. The management has expressed their satisfaction with the form of Arshdeep Singh and he will be expected to feature in the final game of the league stage.

“His energy, rhythm, and commitment in the nets have been extremely encouraging, and we are confident that he will continue to play a key role for Punjab Kings moving forward as well,” added Punjab Kings. Adding to the concerns on the field, the Punjab speedster has been the center of attraction for the wrong reasons off the field as well. The bowler faced a huge amount of criticism for his racist remarks directed at Tilak Varma prior to the match against the Mumbai Indians. Shortly after, he once again replied to a fan in a negative manner on Snapchat and attracted criticism once again. For PBKS, they have an important final game remaining against the Lucknow Super Giants and they will require nothing short of a victory. For that to happen, Arshdeep Singh will have to be up and firing for the Punjab Kings bowling.
