Sanjay Bangar, Aakash Chopra, Robin Uthappa, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Cheteshwar Pujara, Anil Kumble and Mohammad Kaif shared their semifinalists' predictions for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup India & Sri Lanka 2026. While all of them had the defending champions India as one of the top four teams, there were pretty interesting choices for the remaining three spots.

Robin Uthappa opted for India and South Africa to qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup India & Sri Lanka 2026 semifinals from Group 1 of the Super Eight and England and New Zealand from the second group.

Irfan Pathan picked India and Australia to qualify for the semifinals from Group 1 and England and Pakistan from Group 2 of the Super Eight.

Cheteshwar Pujara also had India and Australia making it through to the semifinals from Group 1 and England and New Zealand from the second group.

Anil Kumble chose India as one of his picks and reckoned that it was tough to select between Australia, South Africa and the West Indies, but went with the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup champions, Australia, as the second team from Group 1, while having England and New Zealand qualifying from the second group.

Aakash Chopra too went with India, Australia, England and New Zealand as his picks for the top four for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup India & Sri Lanka 2026.

Mohammad Kaif, the former India batter, had the finalists of the last edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, India and South Africa, qualifying for the semifinals from Group 1, while going with the popular choice of England and New Zealand from the second group.

Suresh Raina too named India and South Africa from Group 1, while having Sri Lanka as a surprise pick and New Zealand for the semifinals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup India & Sri Lanka 2026.

Sanjay Bangar also went with the popular picks of India, Australia, England and New Zealand as his contenders for the semifinals.
