Rajasthan Royals are eyeing for their second IPL title as the 2026 edition of the IPL is set to begin this week. Rajasthan Royals won the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008 but ever since then they have not been able to win another trophy. They have made some massive changes after a disappointing campaign last year where they ended up in the bottom of the table. Sanju Samson was traded to CSK for Ravindra Jadeja. Rajasthan Royals will go into 2026 IPL with Riyan Parag as the captain of the side and they have some really good players in the squad.
1.Yashasvi Jaiswal
In the absence of Sanju Samson, there will be a change in role for Yashasvi Jaiswal who will be the senior batter at the top of the order. He has played 67 IPL matches and scored more than 2000 runs in his IPL career. The stylish left hand opener is currently out of the Indian T20I setup and he will be keen to have an impactful season which will also help the team. He will be their most important batter for IPL 2026.
2.Ravindra Jadeja
Having been traded in from Chennai Super Kings, Ravindra Jadeja finds himself back at Rajasthan where he started his career. He has plenty of experience and will lead the spin bowling attack while also sorting out the death overs batting. Jadeja will be a crucial player for Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming season and he also provides them with the balance.
3.Shimron Hetmyer
The West Indies batter was retained by RR ahead of the season which raised a lot of eyebrows. But his recent form for West Indies has been stunning and he has been in sublime touch this year. With plenty of experience under his belt, Hetmyer will play a key role in the RR side for this edition. He has played 86 IPL matches and has a strike rate of more than 150 which makes him a dangerous player in
this set up.
