One of the most thrilling and dynamite batters to watch as the the ongoing UPT20 league is concerned happens to be none other than Rinku Singh. Perhaps it won’t be a misnomer to consider Rinku a hotseller as far as the entire league is concerned. And his success in the ongoing league can be ascertained from the fact that the left hander has stayed true to his original nature in the game. That of attacking and that of giving the ball a good whack, which is what comes naturally to him. Don’t you think?
The results are there to be seen and Rinku’s numbers are far from disappointing. No randomspeak this! His most recent numbers purely as a player for his Meerut side in the ongoing UPT20 league happen to highlight his importance as a batter and big entertainer.
He’s been able to already score 389 runs from just 9 innings and his most recent knock of 29 unbeaten runs came in no time at all.
Hardly taking any time to settle at the wicket, the audacious hitter of the ball scored his runs at an astonishing strike rate of over 400, it being 414 to be precise.
He took just 7 odd deliveries to score his useful stack of runs and used mostly big sixes to get into the act. Vicious against spin bowling, Meerut’s captain was at his attacking best most recently as the unbeaten knock further cemented his reputation as among the league’s best batters and top rated finishers.
Rather remarkably, it didn’t really appear as though the Gorakhpur Lions bowlers who were up against Rinku Singh learned a great deal as they either bowled full tosses or waywardly pitched to a batter who’s too good not to be able to capitalise on the loose deliveries. And in the end, that’s pretty much what Singh did.
Although, it could be said that the crowds watching the action packed proceedings in Uttar Pradesh weren’t complaining.
