The Lucknow Super Giants skipper Rishabh Pant posted a heartfelt note on Instagram after they were eliminated in the group stage. An interesting factor regarding his post is that he kept the comment section off and that could indicate the outlash by the LSG fans. It has indeed been a difficult phase for the Lucknow side as they weren't able to get off to the best of starts nor could they ignite a revival. Their batting unit has been disastrous except in a couple of occasions when Mitchell Marsh played some extraordinary knocks.The opinions of the fans have been unsurprisingly negative as they were a star studded side but their performance suggested otherwise.
“A big thank you to the entire LSG family - the players, coaches, support staff, management and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes every single day. A lot of hard work often goes unnoticed, and I am truly grateful to have shared this journey with such incredible people,” wrote Rishabh Pant captioning his Instagram post.

The Lucknow Super Giants finished at the bottom of the table at the end of the season even though they had the same points as the Mumbai Indians. Negatives have overshadowed most of the positives in the side as the experts couldn't believe what they were saying. A batting unit consisting of Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran and Rishabh Pant is always expected to perform but this time they failed together. Even the youngsters that they tried out such as Arshin Kulkarni couldn't work any magic and their batting unit was in shambles. Mitchell Marsh found his form towards the end of the season with some spectacular knocks and Josh Inglis was consistent with his impactful starts for LSG.

The Lucknow Super Giants fans will be hoping for a better season next time out as they haven't qualified for the playoffs in quite some time. Rishabh Pant has been underperforming for the side in the last two seasons and he will have to work on his batting. The captain will be expected to lead by example in IPL 2027 with the kind of support that Sanjiv Goenka is providing for the youngster. Next season could be the final chance for Rishabh Pant to prove his worth and the fans will be eager to see him display some phenomenal knocks for the side.
