The Lucknow Super Giants skipper, Rishabh Pant was retired hurt and taken off the field as he was hit in the elbow from the bowling of Josh Hazlewood. The Australian pacer was consistent with his lengths bowling the perfect test match length and Pant tried to put the pressure back on the bowler. He attempted to hit a six off that ball but the ball ended up hitting the elbow of the LSG captain.
It did not look too good for Rishabh Pant as he was in visible distress and walked off the field. His elbow looked blackened after he took the hit off the bowling of Josh Hazlewood. The Lucknow Super Giants will be hopeful that their skipper can come back in the innings towards the end, as they are in desperate need of runs.

RCB’s disciplined bowling dominates as LSG struggle for momentum after early setbacks
The Lucknow Super Giants were too slow to get off the blocks in the powerplay as Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram weren’t able to find the boundary. Aiden Markram was dismissed off the bowling of Rasikh Salam and he once again failed to get a good score. Then came in Nicholas Pooran and this time he decided to spend some time in the middle to get his innings going. But soon after, Josh Hazlewood bowled a tight length delivery and Pooran chopped it back onto the stumps. LSG were at 35/2 after 6.1 overs at that time.
Then came Rishabh Pant to bat at number 4, and he had to face the fiery bowling of Josh Hazlewood. The Australian quick was steaming in at the batters as he was full in confidence after picking the wicket of Pooran and conceding only 6 runs from his 2 overs. But shortly after, Rishabh Pant attempted to play a pull shot against Hazlewood but the ball ended up hitting his elbow. He was declared retired hurt and he immediately walked off the pitch.
The bowling of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru has been top notch as they haven’t given any room for error. The powerplay overs were well controlled by the likes of Josh Hazlewood, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rasikh Salam. In the middle phases, Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma picked some important wickets to keep LSG out of the game. This is some top class bowling effort from RCB and they will be proud of the way they have bowled today.
The Lucknow Super Giants will need plenty more on the board if they are to defend against this star studded RCB batting unit. The hopes will be on Mukul Choudhury and George Linde as they can take the Lucknow Super Giants to a commendable total on board.
