The Rajasthan Royals skipper Riyan Parag has notched up his second half-century of the season and it is a consecutive one as well. Parag scored a wonderful 51 off 26 balls, including 3 fours and 5 sixes, striking at 196.15. He walked in to bat at number 4 and he came at an important phase as the Royals had lost two of their best batters of the season. Dhruv Jurel also scored 53 off 40 balls and it was indeed a cautious approach from the wicketkeeper. His strike rate wouldn’t be much of a concern considering the wickets falling at the other end.
The partnership between Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel resulted in 72 runs and they made the best out of the middle overs in the game. This would be a very important one for the Royals but their trouble at the moment would be the quick fall of wickets after the dismissal of the skipper. They lost 4 wickets for just 12 runs and now the Delhi Capitals do have the upper hand in the game. The Royals will need some more runs if they are to set up a defendable total against the Delhi Capitals.

Delhi Capitals fightback strongly with the ball despite brilliance from Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Riyan Parag
The Delhi Capitals skipper Axar Patel won the toss and elected to field first against the Rajasthan Royals. The innings was initiated by a flurry of boundaries from the bat of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and they wouldn’t have expected anything less from him. This has been his reputation in the league as the name or the reputation of the bowler hasn’t really bothered his aim to find the boundary. Parag took up the responsibility to form the partnership along with Jurel to steady the ship for his side. He did the job perfectly along with Jurel as he scored a crucial knock, helping the Rajasthan Royals to generate the momentum for a massive total.
The Rajasthan Royals have almost seemingly thrown the game away here at the Arun Jaitley Stadium with a disastrous last 5 overs. Their lower order failed them big time as they could score just 19 runs from 20 balls. A 220+ total was very well on the cards with the kind of start they had got and even until the 15th over, the Delhi Capitals were looking down and out. The Royals scored just 27 runs in the last 30 balls and they lost a couple of wickets as well. The Rajasthan Royals have set a total of 194 for the Delhi Capitals to chase and the visitors will be fancying their chances here.
