With less than 24 hours to the starlit clash of the eastern powers, MI vs KKR, the former captain of the five-time title-winning team, Rohit Sharma, was seen in iron form as he hit the captain of the team to a monstrous six during the practise match at the MI camp. Sharma hit the short ball from the all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, for a six in the upper tier of the iconic stadium.

The connection between the ball and the bat position by Rohit was perfect. If this is what the former captain has in store for the home crowd, MI might just crawl their way to their sixth title.
Will MI claim their sixth title this year?
All the eyes this season would be on MI with members of the T20 World Cup winning squad by the side and the guidance of the 2024 Champions Trophy winner, Rohit Sharma. Everyone would also be eager to see the new talent recognised by the scouting team of the franchise, who also got the country's talented players like Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and the nation’s current favourite Tilak Verma to the team.
The Mumbai Indians would face the Kolkata Knight Riders in their first 2026 match in IPL on March 29. Kolkata has been through a little reshuffling in its squad with the exclusion of the Bangladeshi pacer, Mustafizur Rehman and the inclusion of the Zimbabwean player, Blessing Muzarabani. The KKR team would continue with Ajinkya Rahane and the vice captain, Rinku Singh.
