However, there's one name that always gets lost in these legends, that name belongs to Rohit Sharma. Sharma has broken a record which no legendary cricketer in India has been able to break and that is of scoring a century every year from the age of 30 to 39. The Mumbai player’s place in the 2027 Indian squad for the World Cup still remains uncertain, but he has managed to achieve a feat no other cricketer in India has been able to cross.
Already a record holder with 264 runs in one single innings against Sri Lanka, he now has this record with his name for ages to come. Tendulkar missed out on a century during this period at the age of 39. Virat Kohli failed to score a century at the age of 32. Rahul Dravid also failed to score a century at the age of 39. Gavaskar also managed to score a century in his 31st and 35th years. With this, Rohit's record remains immortal.

Rohit Sharma, known globally as the "Hitman," has forged an extraordinary international cricket career. Making his international debut in 2007, he transformed into one of the game's greatest opening batsmen. Across all formats, Rohit has amassed over 20,000 international runs and smashed 51 centuries. In One Day Internationals (ODIs), he completely redefined aggressive batting by becoming the only player to score 3 double-centuries, including a breathtaking, world-record score of 264 runs against Sri Lanka in 2014.
He also holds the record for the most hundreds in a single ICC World Cup edition, hitting 5 centuries during the 2019 tournament.
